THE GERS CCI LEADER OF A NEW EUROPEAN PROJECT : the good practices that contribute to the policies for the economic development of rural areas
GRISI PLUS (Geomatics Rural Information Society Initiative PLUS)is the name of a new project selected by the European Commission in the frame of the 4th call of the INTERREG IVC programme. It gathers 13 partners from 11 Member States and the Gers Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as lead partner. Since 2001, GRISI PLUS is the 9th European project prepared and coordinated by the Teleparc centre of the Gers CCI.
The international launching conference of the project will take place on Thursday 9th of February 2012 from 9 a.m to 5 p.m at the CCI of the Midi Pyrenees region (5, rue Dieudonné Costes – Blagnac/ Toulouse, FRANCE). This conference will focus on “Geomatics, the keystone to develop the attractiveness of European rural territories. Persons representing the European Commission, the French governmental agency for Land Management and Territorial Attractiveness, the French Rural Network, the National Geographic Institute, and the 14 project partners will debate on the strategic stakes for the development of rural territories up to 2020. You will find the detailed programme of the event in the attachment.
