The « Teleparc » geomatics centre of the Gers CCI wishes you a happy new year 2010, full of happiness, health and success in your projects.
The new year started actively with the submission of the European research project « AGRIFAIR : Sustainable Elementary Territorial Unit for Fair Agriculture ». In response to the call for proposals KBBE-2010.1.4-03 of the 7th Framework Programme, the AGRIFAIR project aims at developing a new tool to manage the new Common Agriculture Policy 2013-2020. This tool, based on the definition of the Sustainable Elementary Territorial Unit (SETU) will allow characterizing local specificities of rural territories from a social, economic and environmental point of view. The project gathers 11 partners from 5 Member States and it will be executed in 3 years.
Furthermore, two other European research projects were submitted at the European Commission in the frame of the 7th FP in December 2009 : the « ENERGIC » and « LEAKDETECT » projects.
In the frame of its participation in the NEREUS network, the Gers CCI proposed the ENERGIC (European NEtwork of Regional Geospatial Information Centres) project within the SPACE call. The project aims at developing a network of existing platforms of data mutualisation in Europe. The ENERGIC platform will allow raising awareness to the European regions in the field of GMES (Global Monitoring for Environment and Security) applications and services. The ENERGIC project gathers 8 European partners and one American, the NASA.
The « LEAKDETECT » project was prepared on behalf of the French Technical Centre for Food Industry (CTCPA, CRITT Agro in Gers) which assigned the project coordination to the Gers CCI. The project objective is to develop a new technology in order to detect leaks of packed food products in modified atmosphere. The LEAKDETECT project groups 4 technical centres and 5 SMEs which will collaborate to carry out the research activities.
Additional information on these three projects is available on the Teleparc web site .
